The Lille Business Centre of Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, a subsidiary of the Arkéa Group dedicated to financing companies, institutions and real estate professionals, has signed an agreement with InnovaFeed to support this leading player in the production of insects for animal feed in its entrepreneurial and innovative project to serve the food of tomorrow
Designed to finance the world’s largest insect protein production plant in Nesle (Somme), this €3 million equipment lease agreement is contracted through the subsidiary Arkéa Crédit Bail.
In particular, this will enable InnovaFeed to equip this next production site with cutting-edge industrial technology that makes micro-manipulation of larvae possible on a very large scale. By combining robotics, sensors, data processing and artificial intelligence, InnovaFeed’s technology allows for the recovery of a large quantity of larvae (20,000 eggs laid per second), enabling the development of a total production capacity of 15,000 tons of insects per year, the largest in the world. The site will go into production by the end of 2020.
